Shopify is one of the most popular storefronts in the e-commerce world. A majority of e-commerce businesses, many of ClickPost’s customers included, maintain their websites on Shopify. We help our customers utilize plug-ins that pull order information from Shopify onto our platform to be easily viewed.
However, there was no mechanism in place anywhere before that allowed shipment status updates to flow back to Shopify. Until now that is.
Using an API introduced only recently by Shopify, ClickPost is now enabled to push order updates and data from ClickPost to websites maintained by our customers on Shopify. This is a game-changer when it comes to improving the post-purchase experience of end customers.
For example, an enterprise may want to credit loyalty points to a customer or trigger a survey to be conducted through Shopify, after an order has been delivered.
Prior to the installation of this API, you would have to manually retrieve the AWB for the delivered order to push the update to Shopify. Warehouse Management Systems like Unicommerce typically charge extra to push updates to Shopify, as our customers have experienced.
Now, with our new product feature in place, all information and shipment data can be automatically pushed to Shopify as per the requirements of your business. Shopify, on receiving the update, can then instantaneously reward loyalty points or campaign-based discounts to a customer, or initiate a survey for feedback.
