About DTDC India
DTDC is one of India's largest courier delivery service companies. It was founded on July 26, 1990, by Subhasish Chakraborty, a Gold medallist in Chemistry from Calcutta University.
Chakraborty belonged to a middle-class family and struggled to pay for his college education. But being a brilliant student, he cracked a few scholarships allowing him to pursue chemistry honors from Ramakrishna Mission Residential College. He initially worked at Peerless Insurance as a freelancer and started his entrepreneurial journey with a chemical distribution agency in Bangalore.
